Human reach, without human risk. Where humans cannot go, Angad goes. Every mission. Every environment.
Angad is a versatile unmanned ground vehicle designed for high-risk operations including bomb disposal, surveillance, and mine detection. Engineered for urban and rugged environments, its stair-climbing capability and semi-autonomous control make it especially effective in scenarios too dangerous or physically inaccessible for human operators. Angad wirelessly transmits real-time audio and video, enabling safe, informed remote decision-making for the strategist, EOD units, and first responders in buildings, confined spaces, unstable structures, and active threat environments.
Key Capabilities
Mobility & deployment
Urban-ready mobility
Stair-climbing capability and rugged chassis design allow reliable operation in multi-storey buildings, confined corridors, uneven rubble, and difficult outdoor terrain — environments that defeat wheeled or tracked platforms.
- Navigates standard staircases and raised thresholds independently
- Stable operation across rubble, wet surfaces, and uneven ground
Portable & rapidly deployable
Lightweight enough to be carried and deployed by a single operator — enabling rapid fielding in time-critical scenarios without support vehicles, crew requirements, or extended setup time.
- Single-operator carry and launch in under two minutes
- Compact form factor fits standard tactical carry bags and vehicles
Control & situational awareness
Remote & semi-autonomous operation
Operable from up to 1 km range with semi-autonomous functionality that reduces operator cognitive load during high-stress missions — maintaining safe standoff distance while executing complex manoeuvres.
- 1 km wireless control range with low-latency command response
- Semi-autonomous modes reduce risk from operator fatigue or distraction
Real-time situational awareness
Live audio and video streaming deliver immediate, continuous intelligence from inside hazardous environments — enabling informed remote decision-making before, during, and after engagement.
- Real-time video feed for threat assessment and route planning
- Audio monitoring detects ambient sounds, voices, and mechanical threats
Payload & mission flexibility
Modular payload support
Modular architecture supports explosive sniffers, mine detectors, optical and thermal cameras, and robotic manipulators — fully reconfigurable between missions without platform change.
- 8 kg lifting capacity — expandable up to approximately 13.5 kg
- Rapid payload swap enables same-platform multi-role deployment
Multi-mission UGV platform
A single platform supporting explosive ordnance disposal, explosives detection, mine clearance, surveillance, reconnaissance, facility inspection, route clearance, and emergency response across all operations.
- EOD, ISR, and first-response roles from one deployable system
- Reduces the fleet footprint required for multi-role ground operations
Impact
Keeping operators out of harm's way without limiting operational reach. Modern emergency operations increasingly require access to confined, hostile, or structurally unstable environments where human presence carries extreme and often unacceptable risk. Traditional methods expose EOD personnel, first responders, and reconnaissance teams to explosives, structural hazards, and direct threat engagement. Angad addresses this challenge by providing a compact, modular, and mission-flexible UGV that safely extends human reach — delivering intelligence, manipulation, and response capability while keeping every operator out of the hazard zone.
