Project Omni Nerve Center is a data-driven precision agriculture platform developed by Omnipresent Robot Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for early-stage crop health monitoring and disease prediction using drone-based remote sensing and AI.
Successfully deployed during the 2020–2021 hot pepper crop season for Mahindra & Mahindra, the platform monitored the entire crop lifecycle using high-resolution RGB and multispectral drone data. By detecting physiological stress before visible symptoms appear, it enables proactive, plant-level agronomic decision-making.
Key Highlights
Drone-Based Multispectral Monitoring
High-resolution RGB and multispectral imagery captured at regular intervals to continuously track crop growth and health across plots.
Early Disease & Pest Prediction
Uses NIR and Red-Edge–based vegetation indices to detect stress, disease, and pest risks before physical signs emerge..
Plant-Level Health Analytics
Delivers individual plant-wise assessment rather than broad field-level analysis, ensuring higher precision and accuracy.
Lifecycle Growth Tracking
Maintains a complete historical record of crop growth stages, health trends, and stress patterns from sowing to harvest.
AI-Driven Decision Support
Intelligent models analyze multispectral data to predict risks and recommend timely corrective actions.
Block-Level Actionability
Enables localized interventions at block or row level, avoiding unnecessary blanket spraying.
Centralized Digital Platform
Integrated application visualizes real-time crop health, historical trends, and date-specific plant conditions.
Impact
Traditional crop monitoring relies heavily on manual inspection, often identifying disease or stress only after visible damage has occurred—leading to yield loss and excessive input usage. Project Omni Nerve Center addresses this challenge by combining drone-based sensing with AI-driven analytics to deliver early, precise, and actionable insights. The result is improved yields, reduced input costs, and scalable precision farming that supports sustainable agriculture across crops and regions.
